Program areas

Relationships Australia (SA) implements our values and mission through three major service roles:

1.   Personal and family services

This includes relationship counselling, family dispute resoultion (mediation) and family support services. We also have specialist services for people affected by problem gambling, HIV or hepatitis C and for adults who were sexually abused as children.

2.   Community education and development

We work with many different communities and groups of people to assist individuals and strengthen community connections. This includes providing personal and relationship education, adult and community education, workplace education and training and providing resources through our bookshop and library. Our Personal Education and Community Empowerment (PEACE) program offers community education services to multicultural communities in 21 different languages.

3.   Professional education and training

The Australian Institute of Social Relations provides training to government departments, community organisations and workers in the areas of community services, health, education, justice and other human service fields. Relationships Australia (SA) is committed to providing state-wide services using a collaborative and interagency approach in all areas of service provision. We seek to work with other agencies and consumers in both the development and provision of training, which meets the needs of managers, direct service providers and their clients.
