This project aims to provide education and skills that increase the ability of families and community members to respond effectively to mental illness within Indigenous and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Groups in South Australia.
The key objectives are to Improve the mental health literacy of Indigenous and CALD groups in South Australia; support the confidence of family and friends to respond effectively to mental health issues and situations including crisis, and; decrease stigma associated with mental illness. These objectives will be achieved through the delivery and extension of the nationally renowned Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program.
