Taking Care with Culture - online HACC Manual

The Institute has developed a written guide for Home and Community Care services working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This complements the extensive training we have conducted in this area.

Taking Care with Culture was developed in collaboration with a range of Aboriginal colleagues and offers multiple ways for non-Aboriginal workers to progress their knowledge and skills in working cross-culturally. This major learning aligns with the Institute’s commitment to enhancing practices of cultural respect and relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians.

The guide was funded by Ageing and Community Care, Department of Human Services in 2003.
