Course Overview
This nationally recognised Diploma qualification, which includes work placement, provides students with specialist knowledge of legal options and strategies to manage debt and financial difficulties. Financial counsellors serve as advocates within a framework of social justice and client empowerment, offering support to both individuals and businesses. Graduates can pursue careers as financial counsellors in a range of settings, including non-government agencies and community services, across metropolitan, regional, and remote areas.
Prerequisites
It is recommended that individuals seeking entry have sufficient relevant work experience to demonstrate a strong likelihood of success at this qualification level in a role that involves providing support, advocacy, case management, or client-focused services.
