Course Overview

This short course provides an overview of supporting people whose lives have been impacted by adoption.

Over 5 sections participants will develop:

  • An awareness of lived experience for mothers, fathers, adopted people and others.
  • An understanding of the cultural and societal context of the forced adoption era, the practices that occurred during this time, and the impacts of these experiences on people’s lives.
  • A foundational knowledge of providing peer support, and your own boundaries/self-care.
